Notes & Additional Information The message on the reverse reads;

Dear Ruby - The building on left is the Post Office. the next marked X is the Bank. the next marked 1 is the chemist and miss ??? is one and the last one is the butchers. the store is opposite the butchers. We live about five minutes walk from back of butchers. note the doctors car on right, we have any amount of motorbikes on the mine and a few motor cars. - Best wishes from George. 

A view (c.1985) of the same buildings looking in the other direction up Oak Avenue from just below the Premier Mine Co-Operative Stores (see PC182). Using the same marks as in George Courtice's postcard we can see The Netherlands Bank (see PC134) - X, then the chemist - 1 and finally the old butchers shop.
